Antenatal class is one of the government’s program to increase the knowledge of pregnant woman about pregnancy, the preparation of labor, postnatal, new born baby and the development of children so the prospect is the mother can identify her and her children health problems, but the participation at antenatal class is still low. Husband social support is the reinforcing factors for the mother to attend antenatal class. This observational research was to see the association between husband social support with participation at antenatal class. This research used cross sectional design. The techniques sampling was non probability sampling with consecutive sampling and the total sample is 78 person. This research conducted from 1 April until 1 May 2019 at Puskesmas in Denpasar. The result showed that most of husband social support was low (56%) and most of the mother not attend the antenatal class (56%). Statistic test with contingency coefficient obtained Ï value = 0,000 and r = 0,707, which means there was strong association between husband social support with participation at antenatal class. The implication of this research is to increase knowledge related to the factors husband social support that play a role in the participation of mothers in pregnant class. Suggestion for the next researcher to research other factors that have association with participation at antenatal class.
