Reference Management

To ensure accuracy and consistency in citations and references, authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software when preparing manuscripts for submission to Jurnal Ilmiah Kebidanan (The Journal of Midwifery).

Reference management tools help authors organize references, insert citations automatically, and format bibliographies according to the journal’s required citation style.

This journal uses the Vancouver citation style for references.

Authors may use reference management software such as:

These tools allow authors to:

  • Store and organize reference libraries

  • Insert citations directly into manuscripts

  • Automatically generate reference lists

  • Maintain consistent citation formatting

Authors should ensure that all references cited in the text are included in the reference list and that the reference list contains only sources cited in the manuscript.

References should primarily come from reputable scientific sources, particularly peer-reviewed journals, and should preferably be published within the last ten years.

To maintain the quality of published articles, authors are encouraged to ensure that at least 80% of references are derived from primary sources such as scientific journal articles.

Using reference management software will help authors prepare manuscripts more efficiently and reduce formatting errors during the editorial process.
