AI Use in Submissions

Jurnal Ilmiah Kebidanan (The Journal of Midwifery) recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) tools are increasingly used in academic writing and research. The use of AI-assisted technologies is permitted under the following conditions.

Permitted Use of AI Tools

Authors may use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, or similar technologies for limited purposes, including:

• Improving grammar, spelling, and language clarity

• Editing or proofreading the manuscript

• Assisting with formatting or translation

However, the use of AI tools must not replace the authors' responsibility for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of the research.

Prohibited Use

AI tools must not be used to:

• Generate the core scientific content of the manuscript without proper verification

• Fabricate or manipulate data

• Produce misleading or inaccurate scientific interpretations

• Be listed as an author or co-author of the manuscript

Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made significant intellectual contributions to the research.

Author Responsibility

Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscript, including any text or materials generated or assisted by AI tools. Authors must ensure that the manuscript contains accurate information, appropriate citations, and original scholarly work.

If AI tools were used in the preparation of the manuscript, authors are encouraged to disclose this use in the Acknowledgements or Methods section.
