Meditory: The Journal of Medical Laboratory focuses on disseminating current developments, innovations, and research in the field of medical laboratory technology. The journal covers studies and applications that contribute to the advancement of medical diagnostics, laboratory sciences, and biomedical sciences.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Meditory: The Journal of Medical Laboratory undergo an initial editorial screening and peer-review process to ensure their relevance to the journal's aims and scope and their scientific quality, originality, methodological soundness, and ethical compliance.

Meditory employs a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of both the authors and reviewers are concealed from each other. Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are evaluated by at least minimum two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

The peer-review process generally includes initial editorial screening, Section Editor assessment, double-blind peer review, reviewer recommendations, author revision when required, editorial re-evaluation, and a final editorial decision.

The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the reviewers' reports, the authors' responses, and the recommendation of the Section Editor.

Publication Frequency

Meditory: The Journal of Medical Laboratory is published twice a year, in June and December.

Open Access Policy

Meditory: The Journal of Medical Laboratory is an open-access journal, which means that all published content is freely available to users and their institutions without subscription or access charges.

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of articles, and use them for other lawful purposes in accordance with the journal's applicable Creative Commons license, without requiring prior permission from the publisher or authors.

Plagiarism and Similarity Screening

All manuscripts submitted to Meditory: The Journal of Medical Laboratory are screened for similarity using Turnitin. The journal requires submitted manuscripts to have a similarity index of less than 20%.

The similarity index is used as a screening tool and does not, by itself, determine whether plagiarism has occurred. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, inappropriate paraphrasing, unattributed use of another person's work, or excessive textual overlap may be returned for revision or rejected regardless of the similarity score.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and for appropriately citing all sources.

Journal History

Meditory: The Journal of Medical Laboratory was first published in June 2013, beginning with Volume 1, Issue 1, as a print journal supported by the Department of Health Analyst, Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health Denpasar.

The journal transitioned to electronic publication beginning with Volume 4, Issue 2, December 2016, with the electronic ISSN (e-ISSN 2549-1520).
