EVENTS OF STUNTING BASED ON LABOR HISTORY IN CHILDREN OF 36-59 MONTH IN THE WORKING AREA OF PUSKESMAS ABANG I KARANGASEM

Abstract

Stunting is a malnutrition disorder during infancy resulting in imperfect growth. In accordance with WHO standards an area is said to be in a good category if the prevalence of stunting is <20% and the prevalence of underweight children is <5%.This study aims to determine the percentage of children who are stunting, identify the history of childbirth in infants and describe the distribution of stunting based on the history of labor in the work area of Puskesmas Abang I Karangasem. This research was conducted in 3 villages. Nutritional status data is collected by measuring toddlers' height and recording their age. While labor history data was collected interviews with respondents.

The results of this study are the percentage of children who experience stunting in the working area of Puskesmas Abang I Karangasem by 22,3%. Based on gestational age, 92,1% of samples were born with enough months. Based on the act of giving birth, 83,5% of the sample were born normally. Based on the recovery period, 49,4% of the sample needed a recovery time of <12 hours. Based on birth weight, 92,9% of samples were born with normal weight. There were no trends between the incidence of stunting and labor history.
