RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PARENTING, ENERGY AND PROTEIN CONSUMPTION WITH NUTRITIONAL STATUS IN THE WORK AREA OF THE HEALTH CENTER I OF TEGALLALANG

Abstract

Childhood ages 1-5 years are times when children still desperately need adequate and adequate food and nutrition needs. Malnutrition at this time can cause developmental disorders physically, mentally, socially and intellectually which are permanent and continue to be carried out until the child becomes an adult. This study aims to determine the relationship between parenting, energy and protein consumption with nutritional status in the work area of the health center 1 Tegallalang. The design of study was cross sectional and the population in the study were all children aged 0-23 months with a total of 285, the number of study samples was 80 baduta. The results showed that from 80 samples of good parenting (40.0%), sufficient parenting (30.0%) and less (30.0%). A total of (3.8%) samples have more energy consumption, good energy consumption (53.8%), and less energy consumption (42.5%). Some samples have more protein consumption (42.5%), good protein consumption (30.0%), and less protein consumption (27.5%). A small number of samples had more nutritional status (2.5%), good nutritional status (96.2%), and under nutrition status (3.8%). Based on the results of the Pearson Correlation test showed that there was no significant relationship between parenting and the nutritional status of the BB / U indicator (p = 0.062, R = -0.209). There is no significant relationship between energy consumption and nutritional status indicator BB / U (p = 0.623, r = -0.056). There was no significant correlation between protein consumption and the nutritional status of the BB / U indicator       (p = 0.725, r = -0.043).
