Tinjauan Hubungan antara Kadar Vitamin D dan Fungsi Paru pada Pasien PPOK

Abstract


Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronis (PPOK) adalah gangguan pernapasan progresif dengan gejala persisten dan keterbatasan aliran udara, yang menyebabkan morbiditas dan mortalitas tinggi secara global. Defisiensi vitamin D, yang banyak ditemukan pada pasien PPOK, diduga berkontribusi terhadap progresi penyakit dan eksaserbasi akut. Tinjauan ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara kadar vitamin D dan hasil klinis paru pada pasien PPOK melalui sintesis data dari sepuluh penelitian. Data mencakup kadar vitamin D yang diukur melalui 25-hidroksivitamin D (25-OHD) dan fungsi paru yang diukur dengan Forced Expiratory Volume in one second (FEV1) dan Forced Vital Capacity (FVC). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kadar vitamin D rendah berkorelasi dengan penurunan fungsi paru, peningkatan eksaserbasi, dan peningkatan peradangan, yang dapat mempersulit pengelolaan PPOK. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan suplementasi vitamin D dapat meningkatkan FEV1 dan menurunkan frekuensi eksaserbasi, namun hasil penelitian masih beragam. Tinjauan ini menekankan pentingnya pemantauan kadar vitamin D pada pasien PPOK untuk memperlambat progresi penyakit dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup, meskipun diperlukan penelitian lanjutan untuk rekomendasi yang lebih kuat.
