Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Tentang Kesehatan Gigi Dan Mulut Sebelum Dan Sesudah Penyuluhan Menggunakan Media Animasi Pada Siswa Kelas I Dan II Di SDN 2 Gunaksa Tahun 2024

Children in the educational phase are a vulnerable group to experience dental and oral health disorders due to their lack of knowledge and awareness to maintain their own dental health at this stage. One of the ways improve the knowledge is through health counseling.
The purpose of this research is to determine the level of knowledge of students about dental and oral health before and after counseling using animation media on students of 1st and 2nd grade at SDN 2 Gunaksa in 2024.
The method of research is a descriptive with the number 48 respondents, this research has been conducted in April 2024. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data collected  method is through pre-test sheets before counseling, then counseling is given using animation media and post-test sheets after counseling which is then analyzed using univariate analysis.
The research results shows that the percentage of students' knowledge about dental and oral health before counseling is highest at 37.50% in the good category and increases to 100% in the excellent category after counseling. The average level of knowledge before counseling is 62.08 with a sufficient category, increases to 89.79 with an excellent category after counseling.
The conclusion of this study is that counseling using animation media can improve knowledge about dental and oral health.
