Abstract
Exclusive breastfeeding is breastfeeding as early as possible after delivery, given without a schedule and no other food, even water, until the baby is 6 months old. The benefits of giving exclusive breast milk to babies are increasing the baby's immune system, optimizing the baby's development and reducing the possibility of various chronic diseases in the future. Several factors can influence exclusive breastfeeding for babies, namely work, age, education, knowledge and husband's support. The aim of the research is to find out what factors influence exclusive breastfeeding in the Tanjung Agung Community Health Center working area. Quantitative research method with a cross sectional approach. The target sample was 100 people, while the population taken in this study were all mothers who had 6 month old babies in the Tanjung Agung Community Health Center working area. Sampling was taken by accidental sampling. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The analysis method used is frequency distribution and Chi-square. The results of statistical test analysis show that there is a significant relationship (p value < 0.05) for age (p value 0.018), occupation (p value 0.003, knowledge (p value 0.023), education (p value 0.001) and husband's support (p value 0.034).
