Pengaruh Perilaku Konsumsi Makan Kariogenik Terhadap Karies Gigi pada Siswa Kelas III SD N 3 Batur Tahun 2024

Abstract


Dental caries is a dental and oral disease that is still a national problem in several developing countries, one of which is Indonesia. Factors associated with the incidence of dental caries in elementary school children are consuming cariogenic foods that cause dental caries in children with a frequency of 70.21%. This study aims to determine the description of cariogenic foods consumption behavior and dental caries in third grade students of SDN 3 Batur in 2024. This type of research is quantitative research with chi-squer test analysis, the research respondents are third grade students of SDN 3 batur with a total of 47 people. Data were analyzed univariately. The results showed that most of the children of SDN 3 batur suffered from dental caries with an average dental caries of 1.82 moderate criteria. The frequency of dental caries in boys is more than girls. The frequency of elementary school children who behave to eat cariogenic foods is the highest at 55.32% in the very frequent category. The frequency of dental caries based on the behavior of consuming cariogenic foods is very frequent (55.32%) and shows the highest number of dental caries and the Pearson chi-Square test shows = 0.00 < 0.05, so Ho is accepted, meaning there is an influence on consumption of cariogenic foods. The conclusion of this study is that most of the students of SDN 3 Batur  The results of the Pearson Chi-Square Test shows = 0.00 < 0.05, so Ho is accepted, this shows that the behavior of consuming cariogenic foods is related to dental caries in class III students at SDN 3 Batur
